Harley A La Cubana
Vintage Harley-Davidson motorcycles from the 1940s and 1950s are still rumbling through the streets of Cuba – restored to their full glory and painstakingly maintained using a hodgepodge of salvaged parts and handmade makeshift solutions.
Armando “Mandy” Surbaran lives on the outskirts of Havana and dreams of becoming the premiere Harley mechanic on the island. He learned from José Sobrino, his step-father, who is a renown as the best Harley mechanic in all of Cuba. Mandy thinks he’s ready to take over the workshop but Sobrino is not convinced.

The Grease Hands Preachers
On the edge of passion. No one likes motorcycles. You either have no interest in them or are completely obsessed. Those are the options. For the latter group, The Greasy Hands Preachers is a documentary worth watching ASAP. Shot on slick Super 16, the film takes viewers around the world to meet bike builders who’ve made motorcycles their life’s purpose. “Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.”
Moto Cinema bringt die besten Streifen aus der Welt des Zweiradfilms und mehr auf die Leinwand der Craftwerk Kantine.
